What is “Mountain Modern”?
Mountain Modern Architecture is a trend in mountain home living that is defined by openness, light, simplicity and low-maintenance.   It’s a style that’s taken a foothold in the Rocky Mountains and the Pacific Northwest over the past several years that we’ve brought to the Pocono Mountains.   
The wood-laden cabin with a single vaulted ceiling has given way to a design style that embraces style, space, texture, color and the mountain outdoors all in equal proportion to bring a new look and warmth to Pocono living.
Our contemporary mountain homes are more open, brighter and have better flow.   We use warmer, textured materials, such as stone and wood, along with black and gray accents in ways that compliment light-colored walls, elegant finishes and stylish décor.  We use lighting and multiple vaulted ceilings to add space and light, which not only makes a home feel bigger, but makes it feel warmer and reaches up and out to bring the outdoors in.

1. Unique Exteriors
Sharp lines, elegant slopes, stone, wood and glass come together to define the visual presentation of Mountain Modern homes.  Common styles such as cabins, classic A-frames and cottages framed in wood and wrapped in wood or vinyl siding are familiar, but haven’t exactly come a long way over the last 100 years.  Enter Mountain Modern architecture.  It’s exciting because it offers a fresh take on the classic mountain home.  The sharp, modern edges and elegant glass take landscape and nature into consideration.   It’s not just an afterthought.
